i cannot view inline images and pdf, even when set in view to display attachments inline

Until recently, I used to be able to see the attachments in the email. ie jpg and pdf files that I could print as one pdf document. Now, I am not able to see these attachments, even though I set view>display attachments in line and view>message body as>all body parts. What are the correct settings or what should I do to be able to see the attachments in the body of the message again? My OS is win 10. Thx. Lumi

Thunderbird has never had a PDF viewer ability, did you have an add-ons installed for that?
