Firefox starting with a site not defined as home page?
Thanks for your guidance to my postings.
I posted a question "How to handle adblocker Killer with Firefox?"
As per reply, I installed BehindTheOverlay add-on. It solved the adblocker issue, but I am facing another issue.
My son visited www.geometrydashlite.org in chrome browser.
Now my firefox shows www.geometrydashlite.org instead of my home page as I start firefox. My home page set-up is intact.
Where does firefox pick-up www.geometrydashlite.org start-up page?
I did disable the cookies, now firefox is not starting.
I posting this thread using IE.
Any idea, what is going on?

You can check the target line in the Firefox desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties) to make sure nothing is appended after the path to the Firefox program.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar and search for prefs that refer to geometrydashlite.org. You can reset user set (bold) geometrydashlite.org pref(s) on the about:config page via the right-click context menu to the default value.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.
Thanks. I did find "http://www.geometrydashlite.org/" in Firefox path in properties. I deleted this piece. It worked as desired.
I did not find any references in about:crashes
How does some other programs find FireFox and modify paths?
What are the ways to prevent such appends?
Do you still need crash reports ?

You can do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
