Since Thunderbird's last update a couple days ago, which was a "Security Update", my Emails are no longer downloading to Thunderbird. I don't know how to fix it, since I didn't change anything with my account setup.

Please help, because it drives me crazy to work with my emails online in Optimum's System.

I don't know how you can reply to me, because it's not passing through to Thunderbird (emails).

Restart the operating system in safe mode with Networking. This loads only the very basics needed to start your computer while enabling an Internet connection. Click on your operating system for instructions on how to start in safe mode: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, OSX

If safe mode for the operating system fixes the issue, there's other software in your computer that's causing problems. Possibilities include but not limited to: AV scanning, virus/malware, background downloads such as program updates.

Before your message, I re-booted my Computer, and the Thunderbird started downloading messsages/ emails.

But right after that, I had a "freeze up" problem with a spinning cursor, which happened in Thunderbird. It is extremely insecure, and I MAY have some kind of virus, that was let in by Thunderbird.

I re-booted again, had to take out my battery to do it, and so far (Cross my fingers) Thunderbird is working & downloading emails. But with recent new versions, Thunderbird has gotten worse & worse, and NO, another Software is NOT the Problem! Norton I ran, as well as my Malwares Anti-Malware, and neither found any Virus or malware on my Laptop!
