Should read "I am now asked to click on a link WHEN I am not directed to a site, why?

Previously when I clicked on a link in my emails I went directly to the site - now I repeatedly get a message asking me to click on a link if I am not sent directly to the site.

I have two hard drives set up to act as two seperate PCs, both user Firefox as the default browser. I wonder if I have made some mistake in setting up these two accounts.

  • Firefox > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"

The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

Thanks cor-el. Before this I have always used Firefox "as is". Now I will make sure I understand the outcome if I change any settings.
