Set up Sync does nothing

When I click on the Menu option "Set Up Sync" the menu item disappear, as expected, but absolutely nothing else happens. Also if in the Sync tab of the Options window, I click on Sign In or Create Account, the window disappears and nothing else happens.

This is an attempt to upgrade Sync. Unlinked computer from Sync, restarted Firefox and I'm now in this situation.
