Why won't web pages display

in firefox Aurora 14.0a1 when I open the app, it opes to the start page. From there, not matter where I go, all I get is a blank screen. After that it often crashes. Once back to the main screen it shows the tabs I tried to open in the start screen, but when I tap on them to open the page it goes back to the blank screen. How do I get past this. I can't even go to the addons page. I can get to setting, but nothing I change there seems to make a difference. Any thoughts?

Hi,

I'm sorry you're having this problem with Aurora, thanks very much for helping to improve it by reporting this issue. We have been making lots of changes to Aurora recently, so I asked engineering about your issue and the crash/blank screen is likely a known bug fixed earlier this week.

Since you are able to get to your settings, you could tap About Aurora on that screen and then Check for Updates to get the latest version which will hopefully resolve this issue.

Do let me know if you are unable to get a new update for any reason, I'm happy to help further, this is just a first step.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, when I go to "About Aurora", all I get is a blank screen. So I used dolphin hd to download 14.0a2 and installed it. I still have the white screen and crashing problem. Although it doesn't crash as often. So I guess that's a step in the right direction, but it's still unusable. I should mention that on the start screen and when I look at available tabs I can see the proper "smaller view" of the page, but when I tap on them, the page that opens is a blank page. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for testing this with 14.0a2, sorry you are still unable to use it. Could you tell me what make/model of device you are using and I'll get a bug on file and post it back to this thread, so you can follow it.

As Scoobidiver requested, if you can add that info to the bug, that would help engineering and QA very much.

I'd like to help with the crash Id info, but unfortunately, that page like every other page besides the startup page comes back blank as well.

Of course, thanks again. The QA triage team will review the bug this morning at 11:30 along with other potential blockers, so there could be an update after that time.
