What was the change you noticed?

If you want to enable/disable different sections, see: Customize your New Tab page to hide or display content.

When I click on something I searched for the page appears on the right half of my screen. It didn't used to do that.

Hmm, help me understand this better. Is the link opening in its own separate window that you can move around, or are the results within the same tab on some kind of split-screen?

The link opens in a separate window which I can enlarge to a full screen.

As long as the links open in a new window, Firefox will probably remember that same window position. To change it, drag the window to a better location and enlarge it to a more useful size.

But more generally, where do you want your search results to open:

  • in the same tab
  • in a new tab in the same window
  • in a separate new window

I'm not sure what the difference is between a tab and a window.

I think I want the search results to open in the same tab.

Usually it's a setting in the search site itself. For example, if you use Google, it's the "Where results open" section of this page:
