I don't understand mozilas upgrade process for Android. Initially the version was around 68 but allowed about:conifg and all the features that can configure. The version jumps up to 79 and about:config no longer exists which means a user cannot configure D.O.H. I understand this can be corrected with the nightly version which should be Beta version testing untried app.

Why would mozilla take the working about:config out of the latest version forcing the use of the nightly for full features? Would it not be better to stay with 68 version which allowed config and the use of D.O.H. ?

I would like to know what is the thinking.

Complain on the play store or to the feedback on the Mozilla site. They won't see it here since this is a volunteer forum.

So no one here understands the thinking behind why android FF removed DOH and about:config from FF.

DOH will be back later this year.

They can't stay with 68 due to increasing security reasons and decreasing resources to maintain it.

And switching things in about:config ATM can kill browser with no chance to revert it back, so it's enabled only in betas.

@TyDranlu. OMG! Someone actually understands when the question is WHY! THANK YOU. However, I am unclear what you mean by the acronym "ATM". At The Moment? Ancient Terradactyls Mutate? Also, at least on Windows OS (yes, still using 7 Pro 64bit) I find the deliberately comical "warning" page sufficient. Anyone ignoring that deserves what they asked for. Remember DEL C:\*.* /s? I have always disabled "Trash" since Win3.1 + DOS6.0. (though I grabbed 3.11 and 6.22 when available). Thanks again for actually answering when the question is WHY!!! EDIT to add: Constantly updating browsers on a tablet's and phone's PRETEND storage flash wears it out. That's why I am considering stop playing with DDG and Brave, and sticking with Ff and Focus.
