You can also use the menu button to access the bookmark option

what version of android are you running? Could you please post a screenshot?

i see the bookmark star on my Samsung s6 Edge running Android 5.1.1 on Firefox for Android with no add-ons, screenshot:

Hi Roland, I'm running a Samsung galaxy tab3. It seems the bookmark star is not showing, but seems if you touch the empty spot (where the star should be) the web page will be bookmarked. My husband just discovered this. Weird. Thanks.
