Hi guigs2.

I am not the original poster but I'm encountering a similar problem, and I personally don't feel that the problem is solved (although your answer seems to be the chosen solution). I'm using Intex Cloud FX with version 1.3 installed. I have over 400 contacts with Facebook Sync active. I do not believe that my cell phone carrier is important in the situation.

Now, I cannot reproduce the error every time - but many a times here's the bug I encounter: First of all, the loading process is too slow (in the order of 10 seconds). Secondly, let's say I have 2 contacts named John A and John B. I search for John (or maybe simply Jo) in my contacts and it only lists John A. On further typing John B, it lists John B as a contact.

The bug (or the slowness) gets fixed when I restart the phone - and on typing John, both the contacts would be listed.

In my opinion, the problem lies in the low RAM of the phone but I might be wrong. I hope you can help us with the issue.

Thanks, John

No, no I am not sure why that was marked. My apologies for this. However after further investigation it seems that the device only has 128gb of ram and when too many apps are open, the memory will be locked in the other apps still running in the background.

Since this does not continue to happen when you restart the phone, another step you can try before restarting is to touch the home button and close out other apps that are not being used in the background. Switch or quit apps

Do you see an improvement when you close other apps?

Yes I do see a slight improvement when all the other apps are closed. But, again I cannot make sure every time that I will open Contacts when every other app is closed.

Most of the times, I open it via Logs, and it takes a hell lot of time to load a contact - especially the ones that are synced with Facebook. Speaking of opening contacts through Logs, why does clicking on a particular contact first opens the list of contacts screen, and then open that contact? Shouldn't it directly go there? There's one more bug (closely related to the original question) I encounter very often, and probably the answer again is low RAM. When I open a named contact through Logs (unnamed contacts would just give me an option to Call him or Save it), the Contacts list opens, and then it is supposed to load the particular contact for me. But it doesn't. I'm stuck at the Contact list page, and even when I scroll down and click on the name it was supposed to open (forget about searching for it - the phone would burn down :D), nothing happens.

If I'm not using Contacts through Logs, I open it through OpenWapp, to start a new conversation with someone. And my phone is just stuck. Just stuck. Nothing would work for, what feels like ten minutes or so. I usually have to follow it with a restart.

What I feel is that the Contacts app could have been more lightweight, just so one could use it without lag - or even use it at all, on phones like Intex Cloud FX with a RAM of 128 MB (and not GB, as you mentioned it :D).
