My contact list doesn't show imported contacts
I have a similar problem to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/978003 My phone is Alcatel One Touch Fire. I imported contacts from my SIM card and they showed normally, but after I closed the contact list, the next time I opened it, it was empty. When I want to type a messagge, I get access to my contacts normally, and also when making a phonecall after typing 3 or more digits it loads suggestions from my contact list. So I get around this problem but it's inconvenient not to have a regular contact list.
I have tried restarting and resetting the phone, it didn't help. I even transferred my contacts to my memory card and tried importing from there, but it was just the same.
Any suggestions?

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with imported contacts in your Alcatel OTF. What is the version of the OTF phone that you have? Which country and carrier was it purchased from?
Also, just to clear any confusion - when you say that you have already attempted to reset the phone, do you mean that you attempted to reset it to Factory Default inside the phone's configurations?
Can you also let us know what is the behavior in your Contacts app with contacts that you added manually, and with contacts that you imported from Facebook? If you attempt to add contacts manually, or import them from Facebook, do they show up in your Contacts app?
After reading the information provided about your issue I suggest a soft reset of the phone.
- Take the back cover of the phone off.
- Take the battery out.
- Take the SIM card and microSD card out (if applicable).
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Put the SIM card and microSD card back in (if applicable).
- Put the battery back in.
- Put the back cover back on.
- Turn the device on.
- Check if the issue you were having is still present.

Yes, I restored the phone to factory settings. More than once. I tried your suggestion and it didn't help. Inserting contacts manually also doesn't work - the contact is visible as long as the contact list is open. Once it is closed the contacts disappear and the next time I open the list, it is empty.
I don't know there are different versions of this phone... My brother got me the phone through his carrier, Telenor (Serbia), but I had to get it unlocked because I'm on another carrier (but also in Serbia). Could that be the reason, the fact that it was unlocked?

If you had to hack your phone or change internal settings to unlock your phone, it's possible that this could cause some issues with the system. Can you describe the steps you took to unlock your phone, or share a link with the instructions you followed? This will help us understand if this could have caused problems.
Also, what is the OS version found in the Device Information page? Please visit this link if you need help finding the Build ID of your phone. Next, tap on More information and also let us know the System version and Firmware revision. I will report the problem you're having once we have this information.

I had the phone unlocked in a phone repair shop, so I don't know exactly how the procedure went. :(
The software version is Firefox OS 1.1.0.0; firmware revision 02007A.
I hope that helps solve the problem, but anyways thank you so much for the time and effort.
