I want to recover very important screen shots from my cache in Firefox on a Mac. How do I recover full pages from the cache?

Last Thursday, there was on-line information that is no longer available to me. I can see the cache sites but it will only allow me to see some of the pages and then, only the top of the page. I really need to see and capture some important info from those pages.

Data in the cache is continuously overwritten as you browse the web. The page you viewed previously may not be available in the cache. The simplest way to check is to

  1. Open the File menu and enable the Work Offline option.
  2. Try to load the web page URL, by typing it into the address bar, or by loading a bookmark or history item.

If the page fails to load in offline mode, then it's not in the cache. You can check if it was saved by various web caches.
