Audio in Youtube (ONLY) crackles and pops...help!!
This has been an issue for a few months now (I think since early January,) but every time I go to play something on the Youtube website or a video linked from Youtube, i get this horrible popping sound through my headset. It does not happen with anything else ( and I seriously mean ANYTHING)...it's JUST Youtube...and with JUST my headset. It used to work fine, but now I have this issue. I just called the company that makes my particular headset, and they have assured me that it's not a fault of the headset, but the settings within the browser. Funny enough, I get the same problem when playing Youtube videos through IE but NOT Google Chrome. (sounds strange huh???) I am really getting frustrated b/c I keep getting told that it's the other's fault for it not working. website says it's my headset, my headset's manufacturer says it's either Youtube or the browser...so I'm just at a loss. Can ANYONE help me? Please...this is getting truly annoying.

Hi,
Please check if this happens in Safe Mode. Additionally you can also Disable all possibly conflicting Plugins except Flash Player in Tools (Alt + T) > Add0ns. You can also check with the Flash player disabled.
Troubleshooting Extensions and Themes
Safe mode disables the installed Extensions, and themes (Appearance) in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - the manual setting is Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Use hardware acceleration when available. Options > Advanced. All these settings/add-ons can also be individually or collectively disabled/enabled/changed in Firefox normal mode to check if an extension, theme or hardware acceleration is causing issues.
Try to uninstall and reinstall Flash.
You can find the 32 bit version of the Flash Player installer for 32 bit Firefox versions here (scroll down to Flash Player (32 bit)):
I have tried the Flash thing already (uninstall/reinstall,) and it didn't work. However, the options Vivek mentioned I have NOT tried so that will be my next course of action. Thank you!
The safe mode suggestion failed. Still the same...if not worse at times. I hope I don't have to use Google Chrome to use You Tube. That would be highly annoying =/
Thank you for the suggestions so far. I really appreciate the help =]
btw: I even disabled Flash plugin, and the videos just wouldn't play after that.
I am contemplating jumping back to an older version of Firefox to see if that does it. If not, I'll go back to the updated version and just keep seeking help. Thanks again!
Try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.
