no inbox search fields
There used to be a search box above inbox for the following fields: subject, from, date and body. Now that search box has dissappeared and I can no longer search any of those fields and don't know how to get search box back. Your help is very much appreciated.

That might be the QuickFilter Bar.
View|Toolbars will give you a checkbox to re-enable it.
I note that if I'm using the escape key to close a menu and press it too often, it also closes the QuickFilter Bar. So it's all too easy to accidentally close it.
On my Thunderbirds there is a toolbar button to enable/disable the QuickFilter Bar. If you don't have this, you should be able to add it via a right-click on the toolbar and then select Customize.
Thank you Zenos.
1) The QuickFilterBar was already checked.
2) I unchecked and checked it and it still didn't work
3) I checked for updates and downloaded and installed version 60.3.1
4) Tool bar was showing QuickFilterBar as already checked but still not visible.
5) I again unchecked and checked it and it still didn't work
Any other suggestions please. Many thanks
Try this: start in safe mode by holding Shift when you launch TB, then check 'Reset toolbars and controls' and click 'Make changes and restart'. Can you now activate the Quick Filter Bar (Ctrl+Shift+K)?
