Hello,

I am switching to TBird from another email client and I have an issue with a message filter I would like to create. Specifically I need to apply the following ruler after the message arrives:

Where the 'From' field CONTAINS 'this_email_address_1' OR 'this_email_address_2' OR 'this_email_address_3' AND where the 'To' field contains 'that_email_address' MOVE the message to 'that_folder' AND stop processing more filters

I searched a lot and I understand that since TBird filters do not support the OR conditions in the 'From' field, I would have to create three separate filters. I can do that, however it's a bit awkward if you have more 'From' email addresses to work with.

Does anybody know if there is an add-on that could accomplish this, and more importantly if support for regular expressions is scheduled for future TBird upgrades?

Thank you all for your interest.

Best regards, John

If you created an address book, e.g. "testing", with this_email_address_1,2,3,4..., I think you could achieve your goal by making a filter that looks like the one in the attached picture.

Hello sfhowes,

I am terribly sorry for not being as prompt in replying to you as you where, however something serious came up that kept me away from going online.

Thank you very much for your reply. Your suggestion on creating an address book and placing the email addresses in there, worked like a charm and in fact saved me a lot of work.

Keep up the good work.

Regards, John
