Newest update won't allow startup page to be blank, it loads to the last page Firefox was on, so how do I fix this?
Since the most recent update, every time I open Firefox, it loads to the last page I was on. I prefer a blank page to be loaded. I have this correctly marked in the options, and I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Is there a fix for this?

hello, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...
I would love to put the page content as requested, but the characters exceed the 10,000 limit, so it won't let me paste. Other suggestions please?
most likely a big junk of that is because of the printer preferences - you can leave those out since they are probably not relevant to the problem at hand...

ok, this didn't show anything unusual yet. but you may try this: Click the menu button ≡ and then click help ? > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder". then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named user.js (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.
