Firefox Sync error message "invalid email"

I am trying to create a Sync Account. The very second I start to input my email I get the following error message "Invalid email account". I have cleared all history and cache.

That message should disappear once you have finished typing the complete email address with the @mailserver part, so just ignore it and keep on typing.
