I visit Youtube website though Firefox however the website always shows that my Adobe Flash need an upgrade. But, my Adobe Flash was already the latest one. I try to visit the website with another browser and Youtube didn't show my Adobe Flash need upgrade anymore. What happened?

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash; an ActiveX version for IE only and a Plugin version for most other browsers including Firefox. On a Windows system, you should always update both individually. You do not appear to have the Plugin version for Firefox installed; look in Add-ons > Plugins for "Shockwave Player (version)".

  1. Using Firefox, go to the following direct download link and SAVE the download to your desktop so you can find it later: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
  2. When the download is finished, close Firefox (File > Exit OR Firefox button > Exit)
  3. Click or double-click on the file you just saved to your desktop
    • In the installation window that appears, click the box to the left of "I have read and...." to place a check mark in the box
    • The "Install" button in the lower right corner will now be highlighted, click it.
    • The installation is quick.
  4. Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
  5. Direct link ActiveX version for IE only: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

If you went to that website using IE, you may want to know that Adobe Flash is different for IE and Non-IE browsers. You can check the version of your plugins (For example Adobe Flash) and update them if necessary here:

You can always download the latest version of Flash here:

And also by the time I post this reply the latest version is 10.3.183.7 you can download it here as a mirror link:

I've done all of them but I just can't let it show the video. It continues to say that I need to upgrade Adobe Flash.

Please check the plugin check again and see if you're using the latest version. If that's the case, please come up with the faulty website and post the URL so we can check it.

Tell me what websites you see the flash problem in.

Try this too:

Use https instead of http in the beginning of your address when loading Youtube. See if that does the trick.
