Prior to installation...what changes will be made to my laptop...will explorer still be available..which version should I install.."hidden" changes/adware/etc?...Can I delete it and have no residue? I'm no techie

Internet Explorer will still be available. Firefox doesn't affect any security software. Firefox is malware free when downloaded from trusted sources like Mozilla.com, mozilla.org, Filehippo.com, softpedia.com, download.com.
