up to last update firefox would automatically open my home page (start page) when i clicked the firefox symbol. Now the firefox symbol no longer appears and i have to open it manually from the windows "all programs" why is that? does it have to do with the latest update or not?. I have changed nothing with the firefox settings.

Could you please clarify, what firefox symbol are you talking about? Was it a shortcut on your Desktop?
