Current email count: 6578+. I know - ridiculous - but I have a defective memory and save a lot of stuff so it will 'remember' for me. Now this is getting out of hand - and most of these 'pseudo memories' are no longer needed. Instead of highlighting and deleting as many emails as I can highlight at one time -- Is there an "all in one swoop" way to delete these? I've had the problem before - and remember deleting an entire computer file with a command - but don't know where to find the TBird file folder to be able to do this. Would really appreciate your help! Thx!

You can do this within Thunderbird. Open a folder, do ctrl+a on the keyboard to select everything.

But not advisable to delete so many messages at one click. Maybe a thousand. And if you are *really* sure, use shift+delete which will make the delete faster and less likely to fail.
