How can I 'cut' a sender's email address so that I can 'paste' it somewhere else?
I want to capture a sender's email address, but I can't 'select' the email address. Just get some weird number. Don't want to use the built in address book, just want to 'cut' the email address so I can 'paste' it elsewhere.

I don't have Thunderbird on this computer to test, but this trick usually works: open the message and click Forward. Thunderbird should insert a set of headers from the earlier message including From with the sender's display name and address. Once you've selected and copied, you can discard the draft message.
