Archive Folder completely crazy
The messages into folder for Archive old messages in my Thunderbird looks like the attached image. In addition, all messages into folders that I drag into this folder, disappear. The folder looks empty.
I really don't know what I can do. I tried to delete all traces of this Archive folder into the instalation path using File Explorer, and nothing happens.
I use the Portable edition, version 45.2.0
I appreciate any help.

You use a product of portable apps. Perhaps you could ask in their Thunderbird support forum what is wrong http://portableapps.com/forums/support/thunderbird_portable While the portable version is Thunderbird in a wrapper, the effect of that wrapper is certainly not tested around here, I assume something is tested at portable apps.
Thanks for now. I will do this.

Important to mention that all the emails that were within subfolders listed in this screenshot, disappeared.
right click the folder, select properties and then the repair button to rebuild the message index for the folder. (It does not affect the actually message store, only the index)
That was the first thing I have done. No effect, no change, nothing happens.
I think I must eliminate all traces from the folder Archive in Thunderbird and recriate it.
I never had success in this operation.
Just to explain better what happens. After this operation you suggest, I have all my folders looking exactly as the same way the attached file. Now, for instance, I am seeing my Incoming Folder after asking to repair the Archive folder. Please note: I have right clicked Archive folder and have done what you suggest. After this, The attached image is what I am seeing in my Incoming folder. It goes normal again, only if I click in any other folder and again in the same folder. When I do this with the Archive folder, the folder is completely empty. Both images attached refers to the same folder.
To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try the following:
- Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.
Matt, thanks for trying to help me... But...
Exactly the same behaviour without all plugins in security mode or in normal mode. And more, if I click in Archive Folder whatever it is in Safe mode or Normal mode, the windows green "death wheel" begins to spin until I click in any other folder.
(...it is always good to remember that it is the portable thunderbird edition.)

maybe it helps: attached is the property window from Archive Folder. Note that it is zero message in it, despite the lot of subfolders hanged on it, all of them should be full of emails, but if I click in any of them, they are empty.

Well, it seems that nobody can help. What I really want is reinstall the portable version and if someone have the workflow to do this, I apreciate as well.
How shall I do the backup? What must be backuped? And the settings? And the plugins? After this, how can I put everything back in the new instalation? Copy paste by Windows Explorer, does it have an app that do this automatically?
Because, as I can see, this instalation in my computer is corrupted.

Nore portableapps neither mozilla thunderbird could help me to solve issues with Archive tool. So, I installed everything again, in a clean instalation. And - guess what? more problems with Archive Messages - new thread in Thunderbird Archive messages!!!
