Blanc notification screen for new messages
Last couple of days, many users reported me that the new message notification screen on Thunderbird appears blank and do not disappear, as usual, from the screen. I read that disabling parts of ESET antivirus software solved the problem, but that is not the case here, because they use different AV. Can you help with a solution? Thanks in advance.

Please elaborate on the 'appears blank and do not disappear' with maybe a screenshot (sanitized of sensitive info of course)
The email notification that I am getting is about 3/4 inch tall and maybe four inches wide. It is white and blank and will not disappear until I logout. It is located in the bottom right corner of the screen just above the taskbar and time indicator. I am running windows 7 home premium 64 bit with 8gb ram on an HP desktop.
Most of the time, the notification appears properly in the same location and shows me several messages that have just been received. And it disappears just as it should. However, sometimes the box is just white and blank, like it is now. I am sending you a screenshot of it. You can see the blank while box in the lower right hand corner of the screen. This box obscures anything beneath it, and cannot be moved.
I am using Avast antivirus 12.3.2280, and I have Privatefirewall 7.0.30.3 from Privacyware. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks.
PS - The screen shot on the right below shows the blank white box info from windows, using a program that will show me such info for any window on the screen. The blank white box info is in a separate box on top of the thunderbird screen, which is in the background.
