When opening Firefox, an "ffcert has stopped working" error message pops up when I click on the Firefox icon. Then when I click "ok," another message (see below) comes up. After clicking the "Close Program" radio button, the Firefox webpage opens as normal. This is something that's new as of two weeks ago. It happens each time I want to open Firefox from my desktop. As suggested by your troubleshooting page, I did a clean reinstall of Firefox. But the error message still comes up. I can't find "ffcert" when searching Firefox troubleshooting. Do you have a suggestion as to what to do to get rid of this problem? Thanks!

hi Maddie2011, ffcert isn't part of firefox itself - it appears to belong to your kaspersky security software, so you might get a better answer when you try to contact their support... things you could probably try yourself is to reinstall and/or upgrade kaspersky to the latest version.

Thank you, philipp. Your answer helped a lot in knowing where to look for the "ffcert" problem. I haven't found a solution within the Kaspersky program yet but am working on it. Thanks again! Maddie2011
