So, I have firefox OS B2G OS 2.2 and the battery is not lasting half a day. Started to look for what could be draining out the battery so I decided to unistall all apps I could, set calendar and emails syncs to manual and closed all remaining apps (except for owapp and telegram because I don't want to go through registration process again). Then I reseted the data usage monitor and after one hour with out using the phone at all this is what I have:

Others: 10.56 MB OWapp: 4.12 KB

So, openwapp it's supposed to check new msgs every 10 min so I guess it's normal, but where are all those other 10mb of "others apps" coming from when I'm not even using my phone. May this be the cause my battery is running low so quickly?

I don't think it's a battery issue because if I turn off data usage then the battery lasts for much more than one day!!

my best, jose.

I post this info for someone how may run into this thing and also to mark this as solved. Finally I uninstalled Telegram (which I was barely using) and suddenly the unknown data consumption disappeared and now my battery is lasting a day and a half with all services running (email, openwapp, calendar, msgs, ets). Although I should say that I don't use a lot my phone. I will report this to the Telegram developers.

Thanks, jose.

Two things I can add to the recommendation, try Power save mode in your battery settings. The second, would be to contact your carrier about background data. It is possible that you may need to make sure the apps are closed when you are not using the phone as well.
