Hi, Thank you for your question, I understand that you have updated and the minimize button is gone, graphics on common sites are missing, and videos cannot be played.

Please make sure that you graphics card is up to date in Firefox: Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL

Updated the graphic drivers with both my dell upgrades and intel ones. Made the other 2 changes recommended and the is still no change. When I say it gets no graphics that includes the Mozilla support site. All I get is a list of words running down the right hand side of the page and the minimize/exit buttons are still blacked out. No problem with explorer or Chrome.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
