The Thunderbird that I installed shows a server type of IMAP and will not connect. My second machine has the same version of Thunderbird but the server type is POP and works perfect. The new machine will not allow me to change the server type from IMAP to POP. How do I resolve this problem?

What do you want, a) make your IMAP account work, or b) replace the IMAP account with a POP account?
I would like to replace IMAP account with a POP account.
