This has been a problem for some time, updates haven't solved it. If my Question isn't already clear, if I know an unique word was in an email's Subject, but not sure which of my four accounts to find it, I'll click on Inbox and all four accounts combine into what's called "Unified Folders." So then I go to Edit, Find, Search Messages, select "Subject" and type in the key word, but it always comes up not finding the email. And if I'm remembering correctly, this same problem happens if I search the Body of the emails--it just takes longer to come up empty-handed.

In this latest instance, I manually searched all my accounts and found it, dated May 14th. So then to test the system, I clicked on the Inbox of that one account, and tried searching again, and not only that one, but dozens of other emails were found, all with the key word in their Subjects.

So why doesn't the Search function work in Unified Folders?

Ok the unified inbox is in itself a saved search. So your searching a saved search. What about trying the global search. (Ctrl+K)

Thanks much, Matt. I'm sure that search window at top right has been there for years and years but I've never bothered with it, not understanding what power it had. A new world has opened up to me!
