how can i discontinue, using foxfire & go back to explore

started out using internet explorer, so i switched to foxfire, and it was the worse thing i have done. It crashes a lot, i mean a lot and my pages will cut off and i have to start everything all over again, and my computed is running slower. went to the control panel and went back to the default, but explore, pops up and cuts back off so i am still stuck on foxfire! help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
