Very slow to load, then says not responding.

I have been using Firefox for many years without much trouble. A few days ago firefox shut down unexpectedly. When I tried to open it back up, it took about 5 minutes. It came up with a blank screen and after several more minutes my tabs finally loaded. Everytime I tried to click on anything in the firefox window, it would go into "not responding" mode.

Clear your cache, history

Check your plugins and extensions are updated!

Make sure your antivirus is not blocking the firefox.
