I've been using firefox for years, now when I click on it it doesnt start up, what happened?

my kids have been using my computer to download music from utube and coverting it for itunes, other than that thats the only thing thats different, I did not supervise all the time, but I dont know what could have happened, but firefox dosent even try to open, no hourglass , nothing
