Firefox creates a shortcut every time it launches.

Version 154 (64 bit) creates a start menu shortcut in %appdata%/Microsoft/Windows/StartMenu/Programs/ with each and every launch. I have Firefox installed to "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\

Installing a shortcut at launch is undesirable to say the least.

Is there a way I can disable this behavior?

That's not what the resolution says. It was just moved to earlier report: bugzilla.mozilla.org/2064652

(And yes, it's already diagnosed as a bug in the new "custom icon" option added.)
