Updated Firefox yesterday and now short cuts don't work and I can't launch it?

I was in a rush yesterday when Firefox started to update so I didn't pay much attention. It appeared to be working fine the rest of the day but this morning I closed all my windows to start the day and when I went to relaunch off the shortcuts on my desktop the message was the file no longer was in this location and did I want to delete the shortcut. I thought another shortcut had been created so I said yes and now I have not short cuts and don't see Firefox in my program files. When I look in C:\program files (x86)\ Mozilla Firefox it all appears to be there and the log file stated it installed two shortcuts. Can't find them and can't launch the browser. Please help

Try to run firefox from your profile(C:\program files (x86)\ Mozilla Firefox ),If it works then make a shortcut from you profile (C:\program files (x86)\ Mozilla Firefox) and check what happens. (copy and paste it to desktop) It seems your firefox profiles misplaced from its profile .
