Hello,Try the Firefox Safe Mode to see how it works there. The Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons. Try restarting the browser in safe mode. In safe mode, the problem should go away and you can change the display density in Gmail. It seems as if the offending plugin is Adblock Plus, since when you start the browser with the plugins enabled and disable Adblock Plus, the problem should be fixed.
