Firefox is ok after startup but is slow after I have used some other programs but not always same programs.

After computer restart Firefox pages load normally. But after I have used some other programs (and not always the same ones) Firefox pages will sometimes start to load very slowly. I've refreshed Firefox, I've tried new profile and I've deleted Firefox and reloaded the program but still getting same problem. I'm using Windows 7. Other browsers load okay. Any ideas?
