About every 3rd time I open Firefox, which is my primary browser, it opens in the safe mode. I then have to close everything down and restart to get it running again.
This problem has been occurring with more and more frequency. I started about 6 months ago and has happened 2 times today already. I am running windows 7, AMD Athlon II X2, and have Norton Antivrus running.

Check to be sure one of your shift keys is not sticking.
shift+clicking FF opens the Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox.
Don't think it's the shift key, computers pretty new and keyboard doesn't have any sticking keys.
All the same FF launching itself to safe mode is pretty odd, maybe someone could lone you a keyboard or buy a cheap one to try.
