I have re downloaded Mozilla Firefox.. and set it as my default browser but i lost my favorites list why

Firefox doesn't use the IE favorites.
Firefox has its own bookmarks.

You can import the IE favorites directly via "File > Import" or export the favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
