Tablet always freezes after a Firefox update

If the whole tablet freezes, I'd suspect a graphics driver or Windows issue rather than Firefox alone. Once the reset is finished, try updating Windows and the tablet's graphics drivers, then turn off hardware acceleration in Firefox under Settings → General → Performance. One question: does the tablet freeze even when Firefox isn't open, or only when you're using Firefox?

I've updated the graphics driver, so we shall see, but cannot find a way to turn off hardware acceleration: there is neither a tab for General or Performance in Settings - not on my device anyhow! It always freezes when Firefox is open, as, of necessity, I've opened it when the update is forced on me...
