I have been using Thunderbird ever forever and this morning have a problem

I clicked menu F10 and see tool bar but when I click on an email it pops up and left bar goes away again. This has not happened before ever.

And something else. Left column and screen to right there is more space between each row in left column and right much wider column. Very strange.

And when I click to read an email left column disappears and email fills whole screen.

I clicked on F8, 3 horizontal line, view, layout, message pane and email pops up on right and column stays or left. That is good. Now space between each row use to be less. How to change?

It is 6:21am and I have to start me day. Hopefully I can thank whomever it is that helps me. Thanks

Twenty-four hours and no reply.

Why is there a blank space sized to type size above and below

each folder and with nothing in it.

Or another way to say above see above blank spaces I am using on this reply

I am typing and it is for Subject, Correspondents and Date.

Also under my email address in left column for every folder.

My guess is it will take one or two clicks to fix. I hope.

I fixed it and have no clue how lucky I was to fix it. I clicked on alt button and then made some changes to why there was so much showing from sender on top and some other buttons I did not write down what I was doing thinking I had no clue what I was doing. It works now as it did before this all started.

Another new problem. Bottom of each email I receive I see shows below. with blue underline connect options. And why do I see Snapdragon Summit 2026 in Maui? I am not in Hawaii.
