Okay. Did you try to reinstall? What OS? Windows home or pro? Do you have other computers running Windows with Firefox installed available?

It sounds like a file got damaged. Try re-running the full installer for Firefox 138.0.1 from the following page. It should detect your current data/settings and do an in-place upgrade:
