You're right. For a CardDAV Address Book: Open an Address Book tab. From the 'New Address Book' drop-down select 'Add CardDAV Address Book' Enter your User Name and URL for your server. Press Continue, and follow the instructions.

TB now supports CardDAV natively, no add-ons required.

File (Alt-F) - New - Calendar Select 'Network Calendar' You'll have to provide credentials and a URL.

These are the instructions for the calendar but I need to link my address book to the online carddav file so it links to my android. This is a different file location and file format than the caldav file.
