When I click to autofill a web site box asking for my email address, it displays my personal address plus personal addresses I mistyped. How do I delete the mistyped addresses?

Please select the mistyped address and use Shift + Del

Do I select the email address by placing the cursor over it? I did that then pressed shift and delete at the same time and nothing happened. The website I am trying to do this on is Facebook.
