Firefox still asks to save and update password even on private mode

I am on private mode always so the box to turn on password managing is always unchecked and greyed out. Yet Firefox still asks to save or update passwords every time I log into something. I use another password managing service so I would like these popups to stop.

Delete the old password in the manager.
