I therefore have to log in at every visit. All things are normal using windows Edge browser, i.e it remembers me at each visit.

Hello Peve201, please check if you have the next preferences :

3-bar menu(at your top right) > Options > Privacy > History > Firefox will > Use custom setting for history > check Remember search and form history [v]

now check the Security tab. Options > Logins > check Remember logins for sites [v]

close the tab, exit firefox, restart it, do your logins, exit again, restart it one more time and check it :-)
