can't do anything in facebook

Facebook worked fine for years until yesterday. I can log into Facebook but can't do anything that requires a mouse click on any button. The various buttons will show that they are being depressed but then nothing happens. Can't post. share. comment or even report a problem? See many many others with this problem on the internet but no solutions. Have cleared all caches and tried safe mode. Works fine in IE but not here.
