My URL history has disappeared from Firefox on two separate machines. The functionality still exists because as I type the URL history appears and shows the favicons of sites I have visited, but the URL itself is not displaying. Screenshot at: http://bit.ly/1f9kcHB

In the past this issue could be fixed by clearing the cache/history, but that no longer seems to work.

Gekozen oplossing

This issue can be caused by an extension (Delicious?) that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
