can't find a capture selected area button in awesome screenshot
when I click on Awesome screenshot icon, the screen shows Capture Visible Part, Capture Full Page, Discover Similar Sites, and Options, but no Capture Selected Area. Where can I find the icon for Capture Selected Area?

I can't find instructions for that extension, and I don't use it myself.
If you don't get an answer, you could try FireShot. When you choose Capture Selected Area and... Save... you get a cross-hair cursor to select with. Note: some options on its menu are free and some are paid.
