Why is Comcast, all of a sudden, opening a new tab when I want to go to my email?

This has started happening within the last month. I used to be able to click the icon on the comcast website for email and the window would go to the login screen. Now when I click the icon a new tab opens up to the login screen. I have not made any changes under options so I don't know why this is happening. Comcast people think I need to uninstall/reinstall Firefox.

hello, please try to clear all cookies for the page and the browser cache. if this doesn't work please also have a look at your addons in firefox > addons > extensions (especially anything related to tabs) - maybe one of them is interfering with the website...

Is that a normal tab or a pinned (App) tab?

If you aren't sure then right-click the tab to open the right-click context menu.

If you open a link that would open in the current tab and the tab is a pinned App tab then Firefox will open a new tab and won't open the link in the current tab.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
