I tried to sign up for your password saving system the other day. In doing so I had to create a master password. I now have lost the master password--it wouldn't accept most of my choices--and now I'm locked out of many of my websites.

keep on getting the message Password Required--please enter master password for security software security device. I have a MacBook pro 10.6.8

If you reset the master password then you lose all stored passwords.

You can try to use the Time Machine to restore both key3.db and signons.sqlite to versions when you didn't had the master password.
